Whenever a Royal Baby name is announced there is always a massive rise in popularity in that name for the next couple of years that follow. We saw this phenomenon with William and Kate and now in 2019, we are looking forward to the same thing happening with Harry and Meghan's baby which is reported to be due late April to early May. This got us thinking as to what might the new Royal baby be named?
As with any Royal baby, there is a certain amount of Royal protocol that will need to be adhered to when deciding on the name. The first is that the Queen must approve the new baby's name, and Harry and Meghan will have to choose from a selection of pre-approved Royal baby names. The Royal baby will also usually have 3 or 4 middle names so there will be a lot of decisions to be made by the newlyweds. Royal protocol states that they need to wait 2-7 days after the birth to announce the baby's name and the Queen will be first to know, followed by members of the Royal family. A notice is then displayed outside Buckingham Palace to announce the new little boy or girls name. The Queen declared that William and Kate's children would automatically be named Prince and Princesses, but it has not been made apparent, as yet, as to whether the same privilege will be bestowed upon Harry and Meghan's children.
