We thought we’d share a few baby shower games to give you some ideas. Don’t forget you need prizes and our fabulous unique baby shower favours make amazing little baby themed gifts!
Memory Game
Before the baby shower place about 20 items baby related items on a tray and cover with a cloth. When your guests are ready, remove the cloth and allow everyone to view for around 20 to 30 seconds. Cover the tray and allow 2 minutes for your guests to write down as many items as possible. The person with the most wins! All the items could go as a gift for the mum-to-be (Examples bottle, brush, bib, socks, shoes, nappy, dummy, soap etc).
An alternative to this game is to ask the guests to memorise the items and then remove one or two items. Guests have to guess which item is missing!
Sweet Tooth
Fill a large jar or baby’s bottle with sweet milk bottles, smarties or sugar dummies. Ask your guests to guess how many sweets are in the jar! The closest wins!
How Much?!?
Before the baby shower, search for a selection of baby equipment and gifts / necessary items. Search online or in magazines (e.g. cots, baby carriers, baby shoes, prams, bottles etc). Ask all your guests to guess the cost of each item. Write down the answers and the closest wins! Find a good variation of products for this game to work well.
Story Time
Many ladies love to talk about children whether their own or nieces / nephews / god-children. Ask each of them to take a few minutes to share a funny or interesting experience. This can create much laughter and can also be a unique experience for mum to be to get some advice / tips.
Sing It Baby!
The guests form a circle. Then each guest must sing a line or two from a song that has the word ‘baby’ in it. When the first game player has finished, the next person seated on her right has ten seconds to sing another ‘baby’ song. The person who repeats a song or cannot think of another is out. The last person wins!
